OUR COMMUNITY
We hope to encourage you to pursue intimacy with God, community with each other and shine Christ's light to the islands and beyond.
We are here to love others, share our love of Christ and reflect him in all we do
Serving the Macleay Island Community as well as Russell Island, Lamb Island and Karragarra Island.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
This is the Macleay Island Community Church Statement of Faith as recorded on 18th March 2007.
This Is What We Believe
1.
The Holy Bible to be the inspired word of God in it's entirety in accordance with the Scripture 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
2.
There is one God present in three persons. Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3.
In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in the atonement for our sins and sicknesses through His trial, death and resurrection, in His resurrection to the right hand of the Father and in His return in power and glory on the last day.
4.
The filling of the Holy Spirit is available to every believer according to the various accounts recorded in Scripture.
5.
In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life and empowered to do the greater works that Jesus said we could do.
6.
In the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit and the importance of fruit of the spirit as confirmation.
7.
All Christians must be yielded to the Holy Spirit, to see an increase in anointing, to draw daily from the Word and prayer and continually give God the glory for what He has done.
8.
The Church is the Body of Christ on earth and must always endeavour to promote the unity of faith, hope and love, and the institution of the Lord's Supper according to 1 Corinthians 11:24-26
9.
We accept the pastoral leadership of the Church as God's appointed shepherd over our lives at this time and submit to their authority over us in this Church.
LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE
"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:16
This verse reminds us that our actions have the power to influence others and bring glory to God. We are called to be a light in the world, reflecting God's love and goodness to those around us. Let us strive to live in a way that inspires others to seek God and glorify Him in all that we do.
