Loving God's Word

‘Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.’ Matthew 24:35 KJV

One of the first books to come off the printing press when it was invented was the Bible. And it’s still the world’s best-selling book.

It’s been said that the Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the fate of sinners, and the happiness of believers. It is a light to direct you, food to nourish you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the traveller’s road map, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s weapon, and the player’s game plan. It’s a mine of incredible wealth; and a river of genuine joy. Its teachings are holy, its instructions are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are unchangeable.

Christ is its grand subject, and the glory of God is its end. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be spiritually healthy. Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully. Let God's word fill your memory, rule your heart, and guide your steps. It is given to you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, will reward the greatest labour, and judge those who trifle with its sacred contents.’

Most of us respect the Bible; the trouble is we don’t read it daily and put it into practice. After hearing what has been said about the Bible, why would you not delve into it and discover it for yourself? ‘The Word of the Lord endures forever.’ (1 Peter 1:25 NKJV)

Suggestion: Read four chapters a day with The M'Cheyne Bible Plan . The M’Cheyne plan takes the reader through the New Testament and Psalms twice each year, and through the rest of the Bible once.

Coming Soon MICC Worship Event

A Two Day Inter Island Youth & Community Outreach Event

After months of planning we are days away from hosting our Worship Warrior friends from the New Life South Pacific Family Church. The Worship Warriors are travelling all the way from the Sunshine Coast to put on this free event for the community. All are welcome to attend.

There will be a meet and greet BBQ with games and music Saturday night starting at 4:30PM at the Macleay Island Community Centre. Young and old from around the Southern Moreton Bay Islands are invited to attend this free event (thanks in advance to the Lions Club for your support). Come and enjoy the live music, harmonies and a islander family atmosphere.

Don't miss out on more island style worship music at Sunday morning's 10 AM Service at the Macleay Island Commmunity Church.

The Worship Warriors with Jezreel and Betty Graham

Last time the Worship Warrior's were here they nearly blew the roof off the Community Centre with their spirit filled music and excitement. It was such a joyous celebration you couldn't help but smile and feel the love of the Lord and each other.

We had a chance to ask the Worship Warrior's a couple of questions :

Where did the name Worship Warrior come from?

Jezreel and Betty quoted Isaiah 9:6 and Mighty God, El Gibbor as the inspiration.

"For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." - Isaiah 9:6

Isaiah 9:6 speaks of Jesus Christ hundreds of years before his birth.

The name Mighty God is El Gibbor in Hebrew. The first part El, is the singular form of the word Elohim. In the Old Testament this referred to the one true God.

The other part of the name is Gibbor, means “strength, power, hero.”

God of strength, God of power and God our warrior.

What is the main purpose of the Worship Warrior's Fellowship and this event?

They responded,

"We found that the strength of our fellowship is worship. Our desire is to worship God and put him in His rightful place. And God will take care of everything around us."

It comes as no surprise that the Worship Warriors put all their trust in God. He is so good and he never fails.

So if your looking for a spirit filled, joyful celebration of God and his love. Come join us Saturday June 24 starting @4:30 with BBQ @ 5PM. And Sunday June 25 @ 10 AM at Macleay Island Community Centre. We look forward to welcoming you.
